Ford Stereo Radio Code
Hi everyone.
If your looking for the activation code for your ford stereo then you’ve come to the right place. You will need the code for your stereo if you are reinstalling it or if you had a flat battery.
Ford service centres are more than happy to help, oh! and they will charge you for your code.
I wasn’t about to do that, so I searched the net but to no avail. Finally I came across a little program that calculates your stereo code once you have popped in your radio serial number. This program worked for me, I hope it works for you guys too.
I only have the software for A, L, C and M series stereos and I have only used the M series software and instructions .

Normally it starts with asking the unlock code.
When you use the right code, it will unlock
If you don’t see that, you have a serious problem.
Maybe tried to much?
Try to push all the buttons till you see code….
Then put in the right code.
If you don’t have the right code, you can ask it here.
When you do, give the serial so we can find it for you.

Jazmin, you need to remove the stereo from the dashboard using the special prongs. The code is written on a sticker on the unit.
Or maybe it is also written on the security keypad that can be removed from the front.

after a little search i found out that your code only can be recovered with a EEprom reader and not with this software program.
My advice is : try a email to Phillips with the information you have to retain your code.

Kerri I think you will have to extract the stereo from your car dash panel. The serial number is written on the stereo chassis. If you are lucky it might say in your log book or any documentation you got with your car.

You have to take out the radio from the dashboard, and on the radio you will find a serialcode.
When you send us de serialcode (normally it starts with M) we can help you recover the key for de radio.

If it works then your code should be M060880.

Hiba. This program only covers serials beginning with M. Yours is a newer radio with a V serial and there is no free program available anywhere on the Net for V serials.
Try these guys – I got my V serial code off them for only £5.99 and they text it back to my mobile within 2 hours. Worked first time and better tham paying Ford £30 for the priviledge!

Megan, you need to take out the stereo from the dashboard (release tool is required) it will then say on the unit itself what the code is.

Hi. I’m grateful to have found your site but I can’t get my radio out to see the serial number. It is a Ford falcon AU 98 model. When the guy replaced my battery this afternoon he mentioned the need for the radio code. I had no idea Ford made this so difficult when we spend so much on the car in the first place. You have to remove the radio from the dashboard.
At the back of the radio you will find a serial code.
When it starts with M XXX XXX then it possible to recover it.

otherwise you should have a letter.
