Cancer Research

BalA huge well done to Bal for completing a 10k run at Weston Park in aid of Cancer Research.  I am sure I speak for all of the unfit couchers in the family, in saying we are very proud of you.  This is a superb personal achievement and so I had to write a blog on it, congratulations :)

If you could kindly give us your account of the day… all I know is that Amy, Pav, Amrun and Ranbir were there to support you.  Tell us how many runners were there and where you finished. How much you raised and how much was raised in total by the other runners. What did you do to prepare (if anything, as we all know you are super fit anyway)!   Please sponsor Bal, if you haven’t already, http://www.10ksponsorme.org/baldishdhillon.

Also, Ranbir let me know that there are additional pictures to those of her Flickr at the following location www.peakeventphotos.com, these weren’t added last time I checked.  Enjoy these when you guys get a chance.  Once again, well done.

Hiya, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Ranbir and the kids for supporting me yesterday, it was a great day and the weather was splendid. I ran the 10k race in 1 hour and 3mins! I was very shocked at my time and I’m not aching today which is an added bonus. Thank you for everyone who sponsered me, for those who did not get a chance you still can donate on http://www.10ksponsorme.org/baldishdhillon In total there were 1000 runners and a total of £50K was raised, however there are many more 10k races going on in the UK which is hoping to raise over £30million for cancer research. Although I have been training I did’nt run more than 3 miles, but I hope to continue with the running, the kids have now got lights on their bikes so they’ll be joining me in the evenings, although the winter nights are here there’s no reason to stay in doors in front of the box! Half marathon here I come!!!
