AvP2 - Requiem
The bitch is back… and is coming your way this Christmas. What better gift could Santa bring you? Lets all hope that this film makes up for all the shortfalls in the last movie. I know what standard to expect now so I won’t be disappointed, dare I say? Is this going to be a “real” film or a chic flick?
The trailer seems promising and has certainly got me excited but have I seen all the best bits of the film already? We’ll wait and see. Ever since I heard about the film AVP it got me thinking about the alien/predator hybrid, this bitch better be bad!!!

Well we went to watch the movie last night… hmmm, what can I say. Did I enjoy it…. sort of. Was there anything new in it… nope. Could it have been better… hell yes. Can’t say much else until you guys in the UK have been to see it, let me know when you do! Much to discuss
Doesn’t sound too promising Baz! I’ll probably go see it next weekend, it’s out here this Friday.
Don’t have high expectations though, just think it’ll be a good bit of fun and I’m sure it’ll be just that.
Watched the movie this morning. After the pain of AVP I wasn’t expecting anything special from this sequel, in fact I was expecting it to be bad.
Having said all that, the movie wasn’t terrible. It doesn’t come close to any of the original films but it’s a lot better than steaming pile of xenomorph poop that is AVP. There’s plenty of fighting and action (although at times it’s too dark to see) and there’s lots of killings and violence
The bad things about the movie are that I think they missed a trick with the Pred-Alien because he was a bit lame; too slow and clunky. The gestation periods for the aliens is too fast, in the original Alien movie it took something like a day for the Alien to pop out, in these new films it takes 5 minutes (I can’t even workout what was going on with the pregnant lady). There was the usual amount of stupid funny/comedy moments like in every action film these days. The score was generic and boring, the only good bits were taken from the original movies, and also the Pred-Alien should have had a signature sound.
All in all, I was expecting a rubbish movie and I got one, although it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The moral of the story; a pessimist is never disappointed.
Personnaly the director should be ashamed for using scenes from the previous classics, did he not contributed anything (bullet to the head) and the writer should be raped. What a piss poor effort, another great from hollywood, no wonder bollywood films are looking better.
As for the pregnant lady, as I figure the Alien left about three eggs inside the woman because there was food for them (unborn child) nice touch I thought, but your right the gestation period was far to quick.
Saw it Friday, what a stinker of a movie! Got to be up there as one of the worst I’ve ever seen.
