Who needs kids?
Well as some of you guys know I wanted a games console for ages, you’ll also know that I’m pretty shite at these games too, well things are about to change. It’s been a long wait but it’s finally happened. I purchased a wireless remote about a year and a half ago and used that to play at Parm’s house. This remote now has its own XBOX360 along with some other goodies.
As of 1600 hours (GMT +10) 19th June 2007 our fate was realised, we were now the proud parents of an Xbox360 Premium, wireless racing wheel and Guitar Hero II.  Of course we don’t have a sofa for our lounge and we have an IKEA table to clamp the wheel onto, which I’m sure will fall apart when the wheel starts to vibrate, but hey you’ve got to get your priorities right.
We got back to the apartment and couldn’t wait to get started but first thing was to take some proud pictures for our blog. Dal couldn’t wait to get thrashing some chords on guitar hero. Dal has been big fan of this game ever since Parm took her into his band, pin heads. It has been about 7 weeks since she last strummed her last note but every now and then she’ll break out with “WOMAN…†or some other hardcore rock lyric. It was getting to be a problem when she would start playing the air guitar when hearing these songs on the radio, like at Victoria market today.
Anyway before I got my wheel unpacked Dal had already connected the Xbox, strapped her guitar and created her profile along with the band name VanDal. Unfortunately our TV is on a low stand (IKEA filing cabinet, luminous lime green at that) and playing guitar hero requires standing up but that wasn’t going to stop Dal, no… I turned around and there she was on her knees, jamming away.
OK so it’s about 1630 and I’m hungry, in fact very hungry and Dal was not going to swap her guitar for a thava. Finally she did, it was a tactical and devious ploy on my behalf and it worked. I waited long enough sitting at my wheel with my foot on the pedal. So I got the latest hot game for the xbox360 Forza 2 in the console and put my foot down. In all the excitement I forgot that I was crap at these games and crashed into the first corner, Doh!

We went to JB Hi-Fi – the store looks and feels exactly like a Richer Sounds in the UK but it sells all electrical stuff. We managed to get $17 off the total price, though the items were already at reduced prices. So excited, we agreed to the offer and even the salesman was excited for us… in actual fact the security guard at the door was too. (The Xbox360 premium itself cost us $639, Guitar Hero $127 and the Racing Wheel $129 – not bad). Such a powerful games console and such a crap TV (huge 51cm CRT) to play the games on, also purchased from JB for a mere $130.

WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! *head bangs*
Welcome aboard chaps! Does this mean I’m gonna have to bring my guitar all the way to Oz so we can play co-op?
Let me know when you have Xbox Live, we’ll have to have some races! Uh oh, you know what this means don’t you? I might just have to go out and buy Table Tennis all over again for one last showdown…
WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

okie bye
Bioshock is a brilliant first person shooter game. Graphics are great and the sound really makes it and draws you into the virtual world. Seriously you are scared and on the edge of your seat at all times when playing bioshock. Sounds in the “real” world make you jump.
You fear for you life in Rapture (city in bioshock) and it reminds me when my brother and I used to play Doom. The anticipating horror is for real.
Awesome game can’t get enough of it. I recommend this game is to be purchased.
Your lucky; these days they make FPS games preety much straight forward and you always know where to go, rather that the maze type levels of Doom and Wolfenstien. If they were like Doom you wouldn't be able to find the Red key, let alone shoot anyone
I recently completed Doom II, just before you guys left. I say completed; I still couldn't do that last level. Its stupidly hard, and doesn't really test the skills you have aquired during the game, its all about timing and speed not unloading a Double Barrel in someones face! :-@
WE DID IT….
After many hardcore gaming hours and a couple of pants later… Bioshock has finally been completed. All that remains now is to play the game again and to collect achievements that we were unable to get the first time round! At least this time we know where all the scary, freak you out moments are!
WOOOHOOOOOO SABRAJ SINGH DHALIWAL HAD PURCHASDED AN XBOX 360 ELITE!!!!!!!!!! AND….. IS ONLINE!!!!! WOOOHOOOOOOO.

Finally completed the game for the second time and it was still just as scarey, if not more so!
To celabrate my achievement, I had myself a big daddy bonfire. There are 5 of the these little sister guardians in the stack crisping away. Unfortunately there are still three little sisters amongst the corpes grieving for Mr Bubbles. All good fun.
Brilliant game and I even managed to get myself 1000/1000 achievments with the help of my co-gamer Dal. Come on 2K I can’t wait for Bioshock II.
Parm, anytime you want some help/advise, let us know!!!
