Breville Juice Fountain BJE200

Breville BJE200The Breville juice fountain was purchased from Big W for AUS$98 (regular price of $148) the other choice was the juicer endorsed by the legendary George Forman, just like this boxer stear clear from him and anything endorsed by him.

This juicer was mainly purchased because of its special price offer, robust build quality and ease of cleaning.  Unknown to us at the time Breville are known for their industrial juicers, it is understandable why their home juice fountain performs so well.

Conclusion

There are really no faults with this juicer, it did exactly what it said on the box.  I would highly recommend this juicer for home use, you won’t be disappointed.  It is good value for money and extracts maximum juice from vegetables and soft fruits.

As with many juicers the juice is extracted by the stainless steel mesh via a cyclonic action.  Juice is collected in the jug and the pulp is thrown into the outer bowl.  Now this is where the Juice Fountain comes into its own.  Other juicers have a separate container for pulp, more to wash up.

The nozzle from which the juice comes out of fit snugly around the jug, preventing any splashes.  The non drip jug has a cleverly designed lid which keeps the froth in the jug as you pour.

With most juicers the issue is always cleaning!  However, the Breville has a very clever spatula designed to snugly fit the outer bowl for ease of cleaning.  Even the mesh itself is so fine, nothing gets stuck and is easily cleaned using the brush provided on the other end of the spatula.

Whats the catch here then you must be getting some sort of commission from Breville.

We have a juicer not the same as yours but the effort you have to put in to prepare the juice is well worth it especially when you consider the health benefits.

I have read one of the books by Jason Vale (The Juice Master) and he has some good ideas and various recipies. He also provides useful info on what different fruit and veg is good for.

    Anyway enough waffling for now.

    Chat to you soon

This juicer sounds good, I agree with Bhoppy drinking fresh juices from fruits and vegetables are so beneficial for your health and I must admit I somethimes become lazy in juicing when I think of the cleaning up of the juicer, it takes time. This juicer seems much easier to clean, I will bear it in mind when we need to purchase another one. It’s good to see that you two are keeping up the juicing, thanks to you Dal for introducing us to juicing, even Amrun asks for fresh juice now.
    Take care
