Who needs kids?

xbox360 goodiesWell as some of you guys know I wanted a games console for ages, you’ll also know that I’m pretty shite at these games too, well things are about to change.  It’s been a long wait but it’s finally happened.  I purchased a wireless remote about a year and a half ago and used that to play at Parm’s house.  This remote now has its own XBOX360 along with some other goodies.

As of 1600 hours (GMT +10) 19th June 2007 our fate was realised, we were now the proud parents of an Xbox360 Premium, wireless racing wheel and Guitar Hero II.   Of course we don’t have a sofa for our lounge and we have an IKEA table to clamp the wheel onto, which I’m sure will fall apart when the wheel starts to vibrate, but hey you’ve got to get your priorities right.

Breville Juice Fountain BJE200

Breville BJE200The Breville juice fountain was purchased from Big W for AUS$98 (regular price of $148) the other choice was the juicer endorsed by the legendary George Forman, just like this boxer stear clear from him and anything endorsed by him.

This juicer was mainly purchased because of its special price offer, robust build quality and ease of cleaning.  Unknown to us at the time Breville are known for their industrial juicers, it is understandable why their home juice fountain performs so well.

Victoria Market

Victoria MarketThought we’d make a trip to Victoria Market today to see what its all about. I used to love going to the one in Wolves and going to this one certainly brought back some memories. We used the tourist shuttle bus to get there, this runs every day from 10 till 4 and is completely free. The market was huge. We have never seen such a variety of different fruit and veg and some of the sizes were humungous. The celery, apples, mangoes, water melons make the ones in the UK look like kids toy pieces! Some of the fruit and veg we didn’t even know what it was. We didn’t take the camera with us but next time I go I will do and will show you guys some of the stuff. Almost forgot to mention that the prices were excellent. Its the first time we have found something that is cheaper and fresher than in the UK.

Update

We are alone now. We have lost contact with everyone is the UK but we continue, onward and upward! What have we been doing in during the last couple of days?  Breaking our arms and legs thats what.  We’ve been trudging back and forth from the ‘Big W’ (sell just about everything, UK’s equivalent store would be Wilkinsons), Safeway and our apartment. The funniest thing I can tell you was getting the bed.  We have decided to buy an aerobed (inflateable) for now, we’ll get the real thing when we have our own place.  Anyway, we went to the shopping centre picked up the aerobed, which wasn’t very light… went downstairs to Big W and brought a duvet, bed sheets, duvet cover and pillows.  Got back to the apartment and thought we’d set up the bed… it blew up in less than a minute but to our dismay it looked a little small… we checked the size and it was a double… hmmm then it clicked.
